AJHand was my first font, and is based on my own handwriting. It was originally intended to be a custom font for notating jazz charts, but it turned out to be robust enough for more everyday uses.
Myrna is based on an ancient movie poster for a film starring Myrna Loy, one of my favorite actresses from ancient times. Tall, thin, and glamorous, just like Myrna.
Inspired by neon signage, Blues City comes equipped with neony curvy serifs, as well as hundreds of connected ligatures, to really emulate the flavor of neon lettering.
One night, in a fevered state I can barely recall now, I decided I would hand-sketch a version of my favorite serif font, Minion. Mineola is the result of that fevered spirit trip.
